Opening the summer season in style, Movement Recordings welcomes Tash and Circle of Life back to the label for their debut collaboration. Greek artist and Movement Recordings boss Tash is coming off a litany of successes across 2021. Releases via Lowbit Records, Mango Alley, UV Noir and his own Movement imprints were all standouts, as he continued to tread the waters between progressive and melodic house and techno, while delighting the genre's tastemakers along the way. Meanwhile, Serbian artist Circle of Life made his label debut in 2019 with the well-received 'Black Light' EP. The next three years would see the Belgrade resident forge a strong bond with the label, delivering nine originals and two remixes across six excellent releases, while also landing projects for top tier imprints such as Beat Boutique, Beatfreak, Siona Records, Sprout and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music. Now coming together for the first time, Tash and Circle of Life combine their extensive forces on the much anticipated 'PWR'.
Getting underway with the original mix, Tash and Circle of Life flex their free-thinking muscles for a cosmic slice of progressive house. From its full muscular groove comes flickering percussive arrangements, robust rhythms and ethereal effects. Evolving with power and class, phasing atmospheres provide a shapeshifting backdrop for a landscape of striking electronics. A majestic break sits at the heart of the journey, expertly crafted and building tension with each successive pass, as modulation peaks above emotive chord changes, before getting washed away into a pulsating drop and suitably spaced-out finale. Also included is a second version from Tash who re-imagines the composition with a more robust groove, beefed up percussion and additional processing on the wonky lead themes that are sure to send your dance floor home with a smile. A stellar rendition from Tash which caps off a must have first time collaborative project from himself and Circle of Life.
