The 96th release on Tash's Movement Recordings features the return of Tuxedo to the label. The Polish producer and head of Electronic Tree has appeared twice previously with contributions to the 'Beach Stories' and 'Technical Progress' samplers. 'Slideshow' is Tuxedo's brand new EP for Movement Recordings and it comes with two outstanding remixes from Dar & Dor and Dmitry Molosh.

The title track leads the EP off and it showcases that new found deeper style that Tuxedo has been displaying so wonderfully this year. A dark underbelly of menacing bass tones lays down a great groove while a complement of serene atmosphere adds scope to the track. Delicate rhythms and haunting electronics further accentuate the framework as the main breakdown approaches. Here a more distinctive theme is revealed and it's playful nature carries the track though a rousing second half conclusion. A superb club production from Tuxedo which should do equally well on the deep house or progressive floors.

The lone remix of 'Slideshow' is provided by Dar & Dor who are returning to Movement Recordings for their second appearance. Chico Shoshan & Liran Partush hail from Israel and together they make up the DaR & DoR production duo. Regular's at the 'Hamartef' club in Haifa DaR & DoR have been pushing their unique blend of Tech House and Deep House to a wide range of electronic music lovers. Their debut for Movement Recordings came in May of this year and the duo have since appeared on LuPS Records and Lowbit Records. For their 'Slideshow' interpretation Dar & Dor have crafted a more deliberate, pulsating remix which complements the more laid back original quite nicely. The Israeli producers psychedelic design and well textured rhythms forge a great groove while a haunting complement of vocal pads and incandescent keys produce a tasteful conclusion.

The companion piece 'Secrets' was one of the standout selections on Movement's Technical Progress Vol. 4 from back in June and  here it sits as a nice complement to 'Slideshow'.  Tuxedo's love for deep, bassy grooves is once again showcased with a cavernous foundation that seems perfectly suited for a clued up backroom. Panning electronics and angelic vocal pads up the records atmospheric presence while an interlude of melancholic instrumentation sets up a moody third act perfectly.

The lone remix of 'Secrets' is provided by Dmitry Molosh who is making his third appearance on Movement Recordings. The Belarus based producer delivered his 'Shamen / Singing Heavens' double A-side release in January of this year and followed that up with a remix of Dar & Dor's 'Around The World' in May. Dmitry has been one of the most talented new names in the progressive underground and also has releases on 3rd Avenue, Clinique Recordings, Magic Room and Soundteller Records. For his 'Secrets' interpretation Dmitry has taken the great elements from the original and reinvented them in a deep and trippy fashion. Known for his layered textures and round design Dmitry's spaced out rework is bound to a hit with all the new school deep house and progressive DJs out there. It rounds out another exceptional release on Movement Recordings who are back in full swing after a quiet summer season.
