The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Erdi Irmak back to the label for a brand new EP. Now making his eleventh appearance the Turkish artist has become a core part of the Greek imprint since his debut in 2013. Revered in the progressive house underground Erdi has become a staple in the sets of many A-list DJs, most notably Hernan Cattaneo. Now making a much anticipated return to Movement Erdi presents his latest EP entitled 'Soul Searching' alongside remixes from Kosmas and Javier Orduna.

Widely regarded for his versatility, Erdi's production scope seems to know no boundaries. Beginning with 'Soul Searching' we find the Turkish artist exploring deep, meditative grooves and tranquil atmospheres. Rugged bass stabs and soft tonal themes make for a wonderful cadence as subtle acid lines tease the senses. Undeniably late night, the break flows through spiritual designs and soulful motifs before a sturdy drop and wave of electronics provides a magical dance floor moment. The companion piece 'Dowa' comes in equally groovy with its elastic-like foundation and tight rhythmic themes. Gentle chord stabs and misty atmospheres add a touch of melancholy leading into the main break before a serene moment foreshadows a glowing finale.

The first interpretation of 'Dowa' comes from label artist Kosmas who returns for his tenth appearance. The Greek producer has been a mainstay of the Movement roster over the years while also owning releases on Akbal, Iboga and Sudbeat. Always a proficient remixer, Kosmas takes 'Dowa' into a deeper and equally exciting direction. Set over a bubbly acid groove; frayed vocals, percussive splashes and iridescent pads fill out the framework. Timeless electronics dominate the break, building with subtle modulation and reigniting the groove for a smooth yet exhilarating conclusion.

The second and final interpretation of 'Dowa' is provided by Javier Orduna who is making his first appearance on the label. The Spanish artist has been pushing his unique style of deep house for nearly a decade. Appearances on Culprit, Get Physical and Visionquest highlight his discography while his most steadfast supporters include Guy Gerber, Hot Since 82, Chaim and Guy J. Now making his much anticipated debut on Movement Javier closes the release out with an excellent interpretation of 'Dowa'. Deep, compelling and acutely mysterious it's organic qualities and richly textured groove make for a lovely first act. Fluid design and sleek tones transition the energy during a short but timely break, ultimately leading to a vibrant, percussion finale. A magical remix from Javier and a long overdue debut on Movement Recordings. A superb outing once again from one of Greece's finest imprints. Don't miss it.
